On Friday, the San Diego Police reported 20 arrests on suspicion of drunk driving at a downtown DUI checkpoint.
The checkpoint was located at the 1400 block of G Street, according to authorities. Officer Mike McCullough stated that 1,243 vehicles went through the checkpoint. 19 of those vehicles were impounded, and 20 were arrested on suspicion of DUI. The impounded vehicles were from those driving while intoxicated and those who were not carrying a valid California drivers license.
